Chartered Insurance Brokers
In 2013 the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) awarded Griffiths & Armour the prestigious Chartered Insurance Brokers status.
Chartered Status, (granted by the Privy Council), is the industry’s gold standard for insurance brokers and a symbol of technical competence. This serves as a mark of trust and demonstrates that Griffiths & Armour is at the forefront of the insurance broking profession.
British Insurance Brokers' Association
Griffiths & Armour has been a member of the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) since 2006.
BIBA is the UK’s leading general insurance intermediary organisation representing the interests of insurance brokers, intermediaries and their clients. It is the voice of the sector, advising members, Government, regulators, consumer bodies and other stakeholders on key insurance issues.
Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE)
As of 1 January 2021, we became the ACE’s sole advisor on PI Insurance. Our activities include participation in the ACE Legal & Commercial Group quarterly meetings. We provide PI updates at each session as well as answering any questions on industry issues, most recently these have related to fire safety/BSA, climate change and cyber.
Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI)
We act as the sole PI Insurance Adviser to ACEI and Engineers Ireland, working with the Risk/PII/Procurement Committee, which is operated as a joint committee between these two bodies.
Construction Leadership Council (CLC)
We currently sit on the CLC PI sub-committee and have been working with them for over two years on their work in trying to stimulate appetite for some form of Government intervention in the UK PI market alongside liability reform.
Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE)
Our relationship with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) stretches back many years. In June 2023 we entered into a new three year ‘Strategic Agreement’.
ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certification for information security management
Griffiths & Armour has been awarded the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, an internationally recognised standard for information security management, published by the International Organisation of Standardisation (ISO).
Cyber Essentials Plus
As part of Griffiths & Armour’s commitment to cyber security and our proactive stance to protect our firm and clients against cyber threats we have held Cyber Essentials certification since January 2016 and Cyber Essentials Plus certification since April 2019.
Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register (JOSCAR)
Crown Commercial Service
Griffiths & Armour is included on the Crown Commercial Service IS4 RM6323 Lot 1 Insurance Framework.
This framework provides a complete range of insurance brokerage services to handle all types of insurance. It gives the public sector access to services such as insurance placements, consultancy, or advisory services, and claims handling services.
Financial Services Qualification System (FSQS)
Griffiths & Armour is registered with the Financial Services Qualification System (FSQS) – a community of financial institutions including banks, building societies, insurance companies and investment services, collaborating to agree a single standard for managing the increasing complexity of third and fourth-party information needed to demonstrate compliance to regulators, policies and governance controls.

Griffiths & Armour has achieved CarbonNeutral® company certification in accordance with The CarbonNeutral Protocol, the leading global framework for carbon neutrality.
