In 2024, Griffiths & Armour celebrates its 90th Anniversary, and in honour of the occasion, the team has taken part in various volunteering activities to raise funds for our 2024 chosen charity, the NSPCC.
June saw two events take place, both supported by the Griffiths & Armour team.
Wirral Coastal Walk
In support of our charity partner, a team of wonderful walkers took part in the Wirral Coastal Walk.
The walk enables walkers of all abilities to raise funds for their chosen charities or good causes and this year’s trek took place on Sunday 16th June. Spanning over 20 km around the stunning Wirral coastline, the walk began at the Floral Pavillion, New Brighton, and ended at the Wirral Country Park, Thurstaston.
The team has a fantastic time, the weather was kind and sponsorship added over £100 to our charity fundraiser.
Volunteering Day at the NSPCC Hargreaves Centre in Liverpool
A small group of G&A volunteers spent the day helping at the NSPCC Hargreaves Centre. The Centre was built in 2007 and largely funded by local Matalan founder; John Hargreaves. Childline staff and volunteers based at the centre provide a counselling lifeline for children who sometimes have nowhere else to turn.
The team rolled up their sleeves to sand and paint the tired raised flower beds and seating in the interior garden and spruce up the sofas in the upstairs Childline mezzanine area.

As our chosen charity for our 90th Anniversary year, it was great to spend some time helping out the NSPCC in a very practical sense – making a difference to the Centre and to all those who benefit from the support it provides in times of need.”
We are proud to support the NSPCC in their mission to safeguard children in the UK today and prevent abuse for a better tomorrow.
