Griffiths & Armour is pleased to return as the headline sponsor for the Liverpool Sportswoman’s Lunch on 12 September at Liverpool Football Club.
The popular lunch celebrates women’s sporting achievements and has once again sold out. This year, the event is raising money in aid of local charity, The Hive Youth Zone, a state-of-the-art space dedicated to offering Wirral’s young people opportunities and experiences they can’t find anywhere else. Since opening in 2017, The Hive has opened 16,500 memberships, provided over 500,000 activities for young people and contributed 30,000 hours of volunteering to support young people.
Co-founder Clare Brookfield of Primas Law said:
“I am so proud to be a part of this event. We started back in 2017 with an idea of creating something new. Our first event we had 130 guests and now we are sold out every year with over 300 guests attending and a waiting list to match! Last year was our 5th birthday and we pulled out all the stops with Bongo’s Bingo brought in and raising a fantastic amount for LFC Foundation.
We are now a firm staple in the calendar as a key event for professionals to attend and more importantly we continue to raise money for local charities. We look forward to continue to grow this event for many years to come.”
Griffiths & Armour Risk Management Director Cath Swindells said:

She will be joined by host, Chris Kirkland, who is best known for his English football career, both as a coach and a goalkeeper. He began his football coaching career in 2017 and has set up the Chris Kirkland Goalkeeper Academy which is aimed at helping children to learn the skills needed to become a successful goalkeeper.
