Griffiths & Armour expand Professional Risks division with the appointment of Peter Mullany as Head of Intermediary PI

Liverpool – (October 15, 2016) Leading professional and independent insurance broker, Griffiths & Armour, today announces the expansion of their Professional Risks division, welcoming Peter Mullany to the team in the role of Head of Intermediary PI.

Peter joins Griffiths & Armour from RSA, where he had gained a true insight into Griffiths & Armour’s approach and philosophy following RSA’s appointment as lead insurer of their major construction schemes in 2013. “When I dealt with Griffiths & Armour, I learned first-hand why they had a reputation for being proactive, highly skilled and professional. It was no surprise to me that they were trusted advisers to clients and a number of professional bodies alike as the depth of quality within the team was particularly noticeable; as well as being extremely professional they are highly personable and good to deal with, making the transition a very easy one for me to make” commented Peter.

Griffiths & Armour have already established a very prominent position in the intermediary sector following appointment to the British Insurance Brokers’ Association’s (BIBA) Professional Indemnity Insurance Panel in 2013. The value of Griffiths & Armour's service lies not only in specifying and procuring the right cover in first class markets, but in the consistent, fully independent advice offered on the management of risk and the support provided when claims arise.

With more than 25 years’ experience with an insurer perspective, Peter's capabilities and complementary skills will support Griffiths & Armour's vision to create a unique Professional Indemnity Insurance proposition for Insurance Intermediaries by continuing the development of the wholesale capability offered to Griffiths & Armour’s broker clients.

Griffiths & Armour Professional Risks Managing Director, Carl Evans, commented: ‘‘Peter’s breadth of relationships in the sector, strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm will help the team to focus on providing a high quality of co-ordinated services to all clients whilst supporting our wider development and growth ambitions. Peter shares the same core values and ethos - putting our clients at the centre of everything we do and we’re delighted to welcome him to the Griffiths & Armour family”.

Matthew MacLaren, who leads Griffiths & Armour’s team in the sector, added: “Enhancing our time-served, talented and qualified team, Peter will help create new relationships and opportunities to promote the benefits of our proposition - combining informed best practice risk advice for brokers with proven Professional Indemnity Insurance solutions.

Peter concluded: “It’s a very exciting time for me personally and for the wider Griffiths & Armour business; I’m looking forward to getting out face-to-face with brokers in my new capacity. Our long-term objective is simple: to help brokers reduce the likelihood of claims occurring and to minimise the financial impact when they do”
